Ok, this error message happens when the server's ET version and the client's (player) ET version dont match.

There are 4 ET versions that match with 4 ET patches or upgrades

- ET v2.55 -> original instalation v1.00
- ET v2.56 -> patch v1.02
- ET v2.60 -> patch v2.60
- ET v2.60b -> patch v2.60b

The problem is that they are not compatible. Then, boths versions (server and player) must be the same. Even if you have the last version (v2.60b) you are not able to play on servers running version 2.55, for example. Well, really players running v2.60b can play on servers running v2.60. But that is all.

But there are some tools that make it posible. They are named "patch selectors":

- Patch Selector 2.60b:

- Enemy Territory Version Changer:

- Another one is "LNA patch selector". Just now I dont find its home site, but this is the tool I use. You can search google if you want.

Well, the instructions are easy and similar for both patch selectors but not equals: copy some files inside Enemy Territory main folder... maybe another ones in the /etmain folder. There are README.TXT files, so there is no problem.

But ET oficial v2.60 patch is needed. So you must upgrade your game to that ET version before using any patch selector.

Finally, concerning to my own experience I can say I use the LNA patch selector combinated with the "All-Seeying eye". Just, where the ET game executable path is requested (Tools-> Options-> Games-> Program Location), write the "patch selector's" EXE and not the usual ET.EXE. The All seeying eye will execute the patch selector automatically when running a server for play on.

I dont use the "Patch Selector v2.60" and "Version Changer", so I cant speak about these tools.

You shouldnt make post in weird collors it makes it most of the time harder to read.

Ok.. Those other things are irrilevant, but maybe you should Gonzo then delete those things if those are under copy right, because those could cause really problems to you..
